I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful spring! It's HOT in the south right now (80's). So, this post is to share a little of our lovely get-together at Aunt Betty's on Easter Sundee. This was Betty's favorite time of year, and it was decided that it would be a good way to celebrate by going over to her now-empty house and liven-ing things up in there :) Everyone pitched in and brought food, and Gena even gave the old 'Bunny Cake' a try, and it turned out perfect! How we all wished that Betty would have been able to join us, and I'm sure she would have loved it, but we found joy and thankfulness in our hearts just the same.

Whoever knew the bunny cake had a crack?! We had a good laugh over that one!! And the fact that Gena kept smelling it's butt because she thought she detected an 'odor', which turned out to be the asparagus sitting on the table next to it :)
My cousin, Meredith (aka Merge), is a budding photographer and got some great pics of the kids on Easter/Spring Equinox Sunday. Here are some of my faves.

And lastly, to top the day off, a mystery plane flew over the field and dropped candy for the kids! No kidding! Instant classic! (No pics to show for that one due to some infringment laws, or something of that nature :)
